I-45: Choroid Plexus Cyst
نویسنده
چکیده مقاله:
CPCs are a relatively common finding during the second trimester sonography. when a choroid plexus cyst is identified, the presence of structural malformation and other sonographic markers of aneuploidy should be assessed with a detailed fetal anatomic survey performed by an experienced person. if no other sonographic abnormalities are present, the CPC is considered isolated. given the considerable improvements in imaging technology and aneuploidy screening in recent years, the risk of aneuploidy especialy the trisomy 18 in the setting of isolated CPCs is now believed to be very low.

A choroid plexus papilloma arising from an incidental pineal cyst.
We report a case of an incidental pineal cyst discovered on MR imaging that progressed to a choroid plexus papilloma. The MR features of pineal cysts, the difficulty of distinguishing benign cysts from cystic neoplasms, and the implications for surgical management are discussed.

cause of a non-traumatic parietal lobar haemorrhage, showed – incidentally – cysts in both lateral ventricles also seen on unenhanced CT. Their localisation, FLAiR signal higher than that of CSF, hyperintense signal on DWi, and ADC values close those of the cerebral white matter were typical for choroid plexus cysts (CPC). CPC are most frequently encountered at both ends of the age spectrum. Th...
متن کاملNeuroendoscopic Removal of Large Choroid Plexus Cyst: A Case Report
Choroid plexus cysts (CPCs) are the most common neuroepithelial cysts, occurring in more than 50% of some autopsy series. They are typically small and asymptomatic and are discovered incidentally in older patients, usually in the trigone of the lateral ventricle. Symptomatic CPCs (usually exceptionally large, 2-8 cm) are rare. The authors report a case of large symptomatic choroid plexus cyst, ...

Beals syndrome or Congenital contractural arachnodactly (CCA) is an autosomal dominantly inherited connective tissue disorder caused by a mutation in FBN2 gene on chromosome 5q23 and is characterized by multiple flexion contractures, arachnodactyly, severe kyphoscoliosis, abnormal pinna and muscular hypoplasia. Multiple joint contractures (especially finger joints), and crumpled ears in the abs...
متن کاملCombined choroid plexus cyst and choroid plexus lipoma in the lateral ventricle causing unilateral ventriculomegaly: a case report
Choroid plexus cysts (CPCs) are the most common neuroepithelial cysts, but rarely present with neurological signs or symptoms. Intracranial lipomas are generally seen at an interhemispheric location, and solitary choroid plexus lipomas (CPLs) have been reported in only a few cases. Here we report a symptomatic case of a 39-year-old woman with combined CPC and CPL on the lateral ventricle. She p...

Choroid plexus carcinoma is an uncommon neoplasm of the central nervous system most commonly found in the pediatric population. It is associated with a dismal prognosis, especially if incompletely resected. Accurate histopathologic diagnosis is imperative, and this neoplasm should always be included in the differential diagnosis of a papillary intraventricular tumor. Histopathologic features in...
